These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AskFERS™ website and software (the "Service") provided by ("we," "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
The Service is a professional tool for financial advisors, insurance agents, benefits consultants and similar professionals ("you"). You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. Accounts are for one named user unless you purchase additional seats.
The Service produces estimates based on publicly available federal rules and the information you enter. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Office of Personnel Management, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, the Social Security Administration or any federal agency. Official benefit amounts are determined only by those agencies. AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong; you are responsible for verifying information before relying on it or sharing it with a client.
We do not provide legal, tax, investment or insurance advice to you or your clients. You remain solely responsible for your recommendations, for suitability and best-interest obligations, and for complying with the laws, regulations, licensing requirements and compliance policies that apply to you (including state insurance, FINRA and SEC rules).
You may enter information about your clients only if you have the right to do so. Do not enter Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other identifiers that are not needed for the analysis. You are responsible for your clients' consent and for your own privacy obligations. We process client information only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until canceled. If your plan includes a free trial, your payment method is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You can cancel any time from Account → Manage billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Don't share your login, resell access, scrape or copy the Service, reverse-engineer it, use it to build a competing product, overload it, or use it for anything unlawful or misleading — including presenting yourself as a government representative.
We own the Service, including its software, calculations, content and the AskFERS name. You own the data you enter and the reports you generate for your clients. You grant us a limited license to host and process your data to provide the Service.
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but provide it "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may update features, figures and rules as federal law and agency guidance change.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You may close your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On closing, your client files are deleted from active systems.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
